In thin trading, makhana prices traded marginally higher by Rs 5 per kg in the wholesale kirana market today on mild demand from retailers. Elsewhere, other spices continued to trade in a tight range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Traders said scattered demand from retailers helped makhana prices to improve marginally.

In the national capital, makhana gained Rs 5 to Rs 275-305 per kg.
