HUL to rebrand Fair & Lovely as spotlight shifts to fairness creams

On Monday, Johnson & Johnson announced that it would exit the fairness cream category in India and the Middle East as protests have grown over the issue of gender discrimination and stereotyping, following the death of George Floyd in the US.
 
HUL said that it would drop 'fair' from the trademark and that the new change would happen in the next few months. READ MORE

IOL Chemicals hits fresh all-time high in weak market, surges 20% in 3 days

Shares of IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals hit a new all-time high of Rs 464.65 in the intra-day trade on the BSE on Thursday, in an otherwise weak market. The stock has surged 20 per cent in the past three days on the back of heavy volumes. Masayoshi Son defends investment choices, says SoftBank is not 'SoftPunku'

SoftBank Group Corp Chief Executive Masayoshi Son mounted a defence of his investing decisions on Thursday, saying the value of the Japanese conglomerate's holdings has recovered to pre-coronavirus outbreak levels. "We have worried a lot of people who thought that SoftBank is finished or is 'SoftPunku'," Son told a shareholder meeting, using a play on the word "puncture" used colloquially in Japanese when something is broken. Comment :: Managing bad loans

The economic disruption caused by Covid-19 is likely to push up non-performing assets (NPAs) in the banking system, as the contraction in economic activity is affecting revenues and the ability of businesses to repay debt. While a number of firms, which were in the middle of expanding capacity, would re-evaluate demand conditions and may decide to postpone investment activity, firms with stalled projects would find it difficult to service loans. That will be positive for gold,” says Chirag Mehta, senior fund manager-alternative investments, Quantum Mutual Fund.
