Omaxe freezes at 20% lower circuit for second straight day, hits 52-wk low

Shares of Omaxe were locked in the 20 per cent lower circuit for second straight day at Rs 141.20 on the BSE on Tuesday.

 

The stock of the real estate developer was trading at its 52-week low price and has tanked 36 per cent in the past two trading days. It hit a 52-week high of Rs 222 on Monday, June 29, 2020 in the intra-day trade on the BSE. READ MORE

Q4 a red quarter for most of India Inc despite just seven days of lockdown

Together, these 1,002 listed companies — excluding banks, non-bank lenders, insurers, brokerages, and information technology (IT) firms — reported a combined pre-tax loss of around Rs 2,700 crore during Q4. These firms had combined profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 1.06 trillion during Q4 of FY19 and Rs 1.05 trillion during Q3 of FY19. These firms’ combined revenues declined by 9 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 12.33 trillion during Q4 FY20 from Rs 13.53 trillion a year ago. The contraction in top line was the worst in 18 quarters and third consecutive revenue decline in as many quarters. READ MORE

Tata Steel gains 4% after March quarter nos; other metal stocks rally too

Tata Steel shares climbed around 4 per cent on the BSE on Tuesday, a day after the company posted a consolidated pre-tax loss of Rs 1,499.45 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2020. The company had logged a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 4,252.50 crore in the corresponding period last year. The loss, the company said, was due to weak revenue and a slew of exceptional items, which further dented the earnings of the company. READ MORE

Bharat Dynamics surges 16% as profit jumps 2-fold in Q4 to Rs 310 crore

Shares of Bharat Dynamics surged 16 per cent to Rs 349.70 in the early morning deals on the BSE on Tuesday after the company reported more-than-double net profit at Rs 309.72 crore in March quarter (Q4FY20) on the back of strong operational income. The state-owned defence company had logged profit of Rs 124.12 crore in the year-ago quarter. READ MORE
