Tejas Networks hits 5% upper circuit on $13 million order win
Shares of Tejas Networks were locked in 5 per cent upper circuit at Rs 137.45 on the BSE on Thursday after the company announced that it has received a purchase order of $13 million from a leading telecommunications service provider in South East Asia. As per the contract, Tejas will supply and install its award-winning TJ1400 ultra-converged broadband products (TJ1400UCB) to extend high-speed broadband services to underserved rural communities in the region. Fresh issue portion in IPOs at a decade low on high private equity exits
Initial public offerings (IPOs) this year resulted in minimal fresh capital formation. Though funds raised through IPOs more than doubled in 2020, most of the money was used to provide an exit to existing shareholders, promoters, and private equity (PE) investors.
Of the Rs 26,611 crore raised through IPOs in 2020, the fresh issue portion was a mere Rs 3,531 crore, or 13 per cent — the lowest in 10 years. Since 2017, three-fourths of IPO fundraises have comprised secondary share sales. READ MORE

Shares of APL Apollo Tubes rose 2 per cent to hit a new high of Rs 853 on the BSE in Thursday's early trade. The stock has gained 4 per cent in the past two days after CARE Ratings revised the long-term ratings assigned to the bank facilities of the company with a stable outlook. The stock was trading higher for the seventh straight day and has rallied 18 per cent during the period. We remain positive on the stock on account of healthy volume growth, rising distribution network and new products launches. Separately, we believe there’ll be a smooth road ahead as lockdown has ended. Britannia’s revenue rose 11% YoY in Q2FY21, led by higher sales of goods (~9% YoY), supported by higher demand from rural area. EBITDA grew 37.2% YoY, with EBITDA margin improving 380bps to 20.1%, owing to decline in raw material prices and lower advertisement and promotion expenses. Further, net profit surged 23.2% YoY to Rs. 499cr. Hence, we upgrade rating to BUY on the stock, with a revised target price of Rs. 3,960 based on 46x FY22E adj EPS.

Adani Green gains 4% on commissioning 100-MW solar power plant in Gujarat
Shares of Adani Green Energy (AGEL) gained 4 per cent to quote at Rs 1,091 on the BSE in the early morning trade on Thursday after the company announced that its subsidiary Adani Solar Energy Kutchh Two Private Limited, has commissioned 100 MWac solar power project at Khirsara, Gujarat. "The commissioning of project was ahead of its scheduled Commercial Operation Date (COD) according to its 25-year-long Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam India (GUVNL). The PPA is priced at Rs 2.44/kWh, as on 29 December, 2020," AGEL said in a press release. READ MORE
