Technical set-up for Nifty Bank index
Bank Nifty opened negative on Monday but managed to respect previous day’s low of 34,900 zones and recovered well by around 1000 points from lower levels.
It took support near to its 50-DEMA and also formed a Bullish Engulfing pattern near to key support after the lower top - lower bottom of last 11 trading sessions

Technical set-up for Nifty today :: Trading range can be 15,500 - 16,000
Nifty index opened negative on Monday but managed to hold support near to 15,500 and recovered well towards 15,765 zones. It witnessed sustained buying interest throughout the day and closed with the gains of around 60 points. It formed a strong Bullish candle after the profit booing declines of last three trading sessions which indicates that bulls are having dominance at key support zones
Now, it has to hold above 15,700 levels to witness an up move towards 15,900 and 16,000 zones while support can be seen at 15,600 and 15,550 zones
On option front, Maximum Put OI is at 15,500, then15,000 strike while maximum Call OI is at 16,000, then 15,800 strike. Call writing is seen at 16,000, then 15,900 strike while noticeable Put writing is seen at 15,600, then 15500 strike. Option data suggests an trading range in between 15,500 to 16,000 zones.

Brent oil edges above $75-mark

Wall Street ends sharply higher
In the overnight session, US stocks notched their biggest rally in five weeks as speculation the Federal Reserve will tighten policy at a gradual pace outweighed concern about the central bank’s hawkish pivot. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.76%, while the S&P 500 gained 1.40%. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.79%.
