Govt asks NCLT to freeze assets of IL&FS arm's audit partners Deloitte, BSR

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on Tuesday sought the National Company Law Tribunal’s (NCLT’s) approval to freeze assets, including bank lockers, of Deloitte Haskins & Sells and KPMG-network auditor BSR & Associates, both former auditors of IL&FS Financial Services (IFIN) which have been named in the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) complaint. HDFC Bank cuts lending rates by 10 bps across all tenors: Report

Largest private sector lender HDFC Bank on Tuesday has cut its lending rates by 0.10 percent across all tenors, effective Wednesday, sources said. The move comes a day ahead of the policy review by the Reserve Bank, which is reportedly peeved at lenders for not passing on its three consecutive rate cuts of 0.75 percent to the borrowers. IndiGo spat resurfaces, Gangwal says he won't vote to expand board

Within a fortnight of IndiGo announcing peace between the two founders, Rakesh Gangwal has made a U-turn, saying he will not vote in favour of resolutions that intend to expand the size of the board to 10 members. Instead, he wants a seven-member board. Without his support, the special resolution to amend the articles of association will not be passed as it requires the support of 75 per cent shareholders.
