Market opens flat

The Sensex added seven points to open at 6,611. While selective buying saw the index register few more gains to touch a high of 6,621, it slipped into the red to a low of 6,599. The Sensex is now down a point at 6,603, while the Nifty is up two points at 2,065.

ITC is up a per cent (Rs 10) at Rs 1,360. While ONGC has gained a per cent (Rs 10) to Rs 903, Reliance is up a rupee at Rs 566.

Infosys has commenced in the green to Rs 2,240 - up Rs 10. Satyam (up Rs 2 to Rs 425) has resumed with steady gains. Wipro, however, has dropped 1.73% (Rs 12) to Rs 669.

HDFC Bank has clocked 1.43% gains (Rs 8) to Rs 560. SBI is down a rupee at Rs 665. ICICI Bank is down a rupee at Rs 417, after yesterday's strong rally.

Dr. Reddy's is up a per cent (Rs 8) at Rs 753, and Ranbaxy has gained Rs 5 to Rs 1,011.

Bajaj has tumbled 3.10% (Rs 34) to Rs 1,056, while Tata Motors is down 1.52% (Rs 6) at Rs 418.
