 SRF did splendidly at the bourses, zooming more than 21 per cent to its current levels of Rs 129. Volumes, too, jumped over 16 times compared to the previous week. The company, which is the largest manufacturer of fluorochemicals - which helps reduce atmospheric pollutants - and refrigerants in the domestic market, is expected to gain from its fluorochemicals business in the years to come.  It is also expected to gain from 'carbon credit' awarded to companies that help reduce pollutants (carbon monoxide, for instance) from the environment. The stock caught the fancy of some large fund houses which were actively buying into it.
