The Sensex is now down 142 points at 14,340. The NSE Nifty is down 38 points at 4,300.
DLF has plunged 3.9% to Rs 479. Reliance Infrastrustructure has tumbled 2.5% to Rs 977.
BHEL has lost 2.1% to Rs 1,685. ICICI Bank has declined 1.8% to Rs 655, while Tata Motors has dropped 1.7% at Rs 426.
Tata Power is down 1.6% to Rs 1,012. HDFC Bank has shed 1.5% to Rs 1,236.
Maruti and Reliance Communications have slipped 1.4% each to Rs 623 and Rs 401, respectively.
Hindalco has gained 1.2% to Rs 137. Tata Steel has advanced 1% to Rs 583.
Sterlite Industries is up 0.8% to Rs 620. Infosys has added 0.7% to Rs 1,709.
Out of 2,626 stocks traded so far, 1,450 have declined, 1,068 have advanced and 108 are unchanged.
