Markets consolidate early gains

The Sensex after touching a fresh 2-year high of 18,238 is consolidating its gains. The index is now up 70 points at 18,183.

The NSE Nifty is up 20 points at 5,462.

The BSE Mid-cap and Small-cap indexes are also up marginally at 7,485 and 9,523, respectively.

Wipro continues to remain the top gainer, now up 2% at Rs 424.

Reliance Infrastructure has gained 1.5% at Rs 1,147. ITC, ICICI Bank and Maruti are up over 1% each.

HDFC Bank, ONGC, TCS and ACC are the notable losers.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,609 stocks traded so far, 1,566 have advanced and 951 have declined.
