The markets have continued to trade flat. The Sensex is now unchanged at 16,152. The Nifty is flat at 4,827.
Bharti Airtel has extended losses and is down 4% at Rs 302. This comes after the Zain Telecom board accepted around Rs 51,000 crore offer from Bharti Airtel to buy its African assets.
Sterlite has dropped 1.3% to Rs 756. ONGC has slipped 1% to Rs 1,087. SBI and Reliance Communications have declined 1% each to Rs 1,900 and Rs 168, respectively.
BHEL has gained 1.4% at Rs 2,355. Wipro has advanced 1% to Rs 663.
Auto stocks have held on to gains. Tata Motors has added 1.4% to Rs 697. Hero Honda and Mahindra & Mahindra are up 1% each at Rs 1,709 and Rs 998, respectively.
