Markets continue trading flat

Markets continue to be directionless. The Sensex is down 19 points at 17,097. The Nifty is down three points at 5,114.

The FMCG, auto and metal indices have slipped in trades this morning.

Sun Pharma has gained 1.3% at Rs 1,665. Bharti Airtel has added 1% to Rs 291.

IT stocks are up. Wipro has advanced 1% to Rs 704. TCS and Infosys are up 0.5% each at rs 786 and Rs 2,673, respectively.

Tata Power and NTPC are in green.

On the other handm Hindustan Unilever has shed 2% at Rs 234.

Metal and auto stocks are down. Hindalco has dropped 1.2% to Rs 161. Sterlite is down at Rs 797.

 

Hero Honda has slipped 1% to Rs 1,908. Mahindra & Mahindra is down 0.7% at Rs 1,121.

The BSE market breadth is neutral. Out of 2,219 stocks traded, 1,086 have advanced while 1,045 have declined.
