The markets today, in a special 90 minutes trading sessions, have rebounded in this morning's trades after the steep correction seen in the last two trading sessions. The Sensex is quoting at 15885, stronger by 94 points, and the Nifty is at 4744, up 26 points, aided by a recovery in the realty, metals and consumer durables sectors.
The strength has been undoubtedly aided by the US markets, which ended flat overnight. The Dow Jones added 10 points and the Nasdaq ended up 16 points.
Among the major gainers on the BSE, Hindalco is trading at Rs 138, stronger by 1.9%, DLF is quoting at Rs 315. higher by 1.8% and Jaiprakash Associates is at Rs 127, up 1.7%. Sterlite, Grasim and Wipro are the oher major gainers. And index heavyweight Reliance has added 0.8% at Rs 989.
On the other hand, Hero Honda, ICICI Bank and Reliance Infrastructure are trading flat, with a negative bias, at Rs 1584, Rs 797 and Rsv 1034 respectively.
The market breadth on the BSE is strong. Out of 1776 stocks trading on thye BSE, there are 1289 advancing stocks as against 443 declines.
