Maruti remains firm, up nearly 6% at Rs 786 and Reliance Infra has gained 5.4% to Rs 1503. Jaiprakash Associates is up 5% to Rs 285. ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, L&T, M&M and Satyam have all gained over 3% each.
Hindalco and RComm remain 3% lower. Tata Steel has fallen further; it's down 2.3%. Grasim is down 1.8%.
