The Sensex opened in the red today with a gap of 61 points at 16,650. The index recovered for a brief while to touch a high of 16,670. However, it is now up nine points at 16,707.
The Nifty, after touching the 5,000 mark yesterday, is flat at 4,967.
ACC has added 2% to Rs 845. Reliance Infrastructure has advanced 1.5% to Rs 1,206.
Tata Steel and Infosys have moved up 1% each.
However, ICICI Bank has dropped 1.5% to Rs 858. Sterlite, Tata Motors, SBI and Maruti Suzuki have slipped 1% each.
