The Sensex, after slipping to a low of 17,532 has now recovered from its low and is trading flat at 17,584.
The Nifty is at 5,259.
The BSE PSU index is up 1.7% at 9,908. However, oil & gas, metal and IT stocks are down in the red.
Reliance Communications has gained 5% at Rs 191. Power Grid Corporation and Ambuja Cements have added 2% each to Rs 120 and Rs 110, respectively.
Cipla has advanced 2% to Rs 347. TCS is up 1.5% at Rs 793 ahead of its results. Maruti Suzuki, ITC, DLF and Reliance Capital are the other gainers in the Nifty.
On the other hand, Punjab National Bank has dropped 1.4% to Rs 910. ONGC, Mahindra & Mahindra and BPCL have declined 1.3% each.

The NSE market breadth is positive. 751 stocks have advanced while 502 have declined.
