Markets have opened on a flat note this morning on cues from global peers. The Sensex opened at 20,482 - up six points. The index is now at 20,500 - up 24 points.
Nifty is down seven points at 6,151.
US markets dropped on Monday on a session of profit booking. The Dow slipped 78 points to 10,751. Nasdaq shed over 1% to 2,345.
Sell-off was seen across Asia as well in early trades as Japan's Nikkei hit 3-week low ahead of Bank Of Japan's policy meeting today and the possible impact on the currency markets.

HDFC has shed 1.3% at Rs 749. ICICI Bank and Hindustan Unilever have dropped around 1% each.
Market heavyweight, Reliance, has slipped 0.5% to Rs 1,012.
Meanwhile, ACC has gained 1% at Rs 1,023. Cipla, Mahindra & Mahindra and BHEL are also trading in green.
