Markets in red

The Sensex is still in the red and is now at 17,105, down 61 points. The NSE Nifty is at 5,113, down 23 points.

Hindustan Unilever and Wipro have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 223 and Rs 717, respectively.

Tata Steel, TCS, Reliance Communications have added 0.5% each on the BSE.

ICICI Bank has declined 2% to Rs 921. DLF, Sun Pharma and Reliance Infrastructure are down 1% each.

The market breadth is negative, out of 2,225 shares traded, 1,201 have declined and 969 have advanced so far on the BSE.

Among the sectoral indices, FMCG and IT index added 0.5% each to 2,814 and 5,354, respectively.

The BSE realty and the banking indices on the other hand have slipped 1% each.

Anant Raj Industries and Indiabulls realestate have declined 2% each on the realty index.
