The Sensex has managed to erase most of its losses and is now at 17,406, down 19 points. The NSE Nifty is at 5,204, down six points.

The Indian bourses have started the day on a negative note tracking weak global cues. The Sensex is now at 17,358, down 62 points. The NSE Nifty is at 5,189, down 21 points.
Sterlite has slipped 2.5% to Rs 854. Jaiprakash Associates, DLF, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank has declined 1.5% to Rs 159, Rs 378, Rs 831, respectively.
IT stocks like Infosys and TCS lead the list of gainers on the Sensex, up 1% each at Rs 2,624 and Rs 757, respectively.
ITC, ONGC and Tata Power are up 0.5% each at Rs 251, Rs 1,198 and Rs 1,490, respectively.
