Markets recover in late noon trades

Markets have recovered from its lows and is marginally in green.

The Sensex is at 17,409. Nifty has added six points to 5,211.

Markets have slipped lower in late noon trades.

The Sensex dropped 53 points to touch a low of 17,357.

Nifty is down 11 points at 5,194.

The BSE realty index has dropped almost 1% to 3,184. Auto, FMCG and PSU indices are in red. However, the healthcare sector sontinues to gain from the US healthcare reform bill. The index is up 1% at 5,266.

Bharti Airtel has dropped 2.8% to Rs 307. Other telecom stock, Reliance Communications has shed 1.6% at Rs 168.

 

Tata Motors and DLF have slipped 2% each to Rs 745 and Rs 296, respectively. ACC has dipped 1.8% to Rs 952.

Sun Pharma, ITC, ICICI Bank and Grasim have also shown weakness. The stocks are down around 1% each.

However, HDFC Bank has held on to gains and is now up  1.5% at Rs 1,867. Market heavyweight, Reliance, has added 1% to Rs 1,083.
