Markets recover; ONGC, NTPC gain 2%

The NSE Nifty has recovered all its losses and is now flat at 4,048 - down one point.

Ranbaxy has slumped 9.5% to Rs 480.

Infosys has plunged over 4.3% to Rs 1,604, and Satyam has tumbled 3.7% to Rs 428. TCS has shed 2.5% at Rs 780, and Wipro has slipped 2% to Rs 404.

HDFC Bank has dropped 3.3% to Rs 1,032. Jaiprakash Associates has declined 3% to Rs 152.

HDFC and Hindalco are down nearly 2% each to Rs 1,963 and Rs 153, respectively.

DLF and ICICI Bank are down 1.5% each at Rs 446 and Rs 582, respectively.

 

Tata Motors has rallied 3% to Rs 412.

NTPC, ONGC and Tata Steel have surged 2% each to Rs 165, Rs 866 and Rs 679, respectively.

SBI and Hindustan Unilever have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 1,241 and Rs 218, respectively.

Maruti, Reliance Communications and Larsen & Toubro are up over 1% each at Rs 570, Rs 442 and Rs 2,385, respectively.
