Markets recover partially

Markets have recovered from its low.

The Sensex is now up 44 points at 16,082. The Nifty is up seven points at 4,809.

Markets continue to trade weak. The Sensex is now up six points at 16,045. The Nifty is at 4,795 - down seven points.

The sectoral indices on the BSE are flat. Auto index has added marginally to 6,961. While the realty and IT indices are in red.

Bharti Airtel continues to trade in red and is now down 2% at Rs 279. HDFC Bank has dropped 1% to Rs 1,600.

On the other hand, Tata Motors have held on to some of its gains. The stock has added 1.5% to Rs 692.

 

Metal stocks are up. Tata Steel and Sterlite have advanced 1% each to Rs 544 and Rs 750, respectively.

The BSE market breadth is negative. Out of 2,214 stocks traded, 1,140 have declined while 990 have advanced.
