The Sensex this morning opened with a positive gap of 19 points at 16,905. Thereafter, the index slipped into red and touched a low of 16,838. The Sensex has recoevered now and is trading flat at 16,884.
The Nifty is flat at 5,022.
Jaiprakash Associates has tumbled 4.6% to Rs 239. Bharti Airtel and Infosys have dropped over 1% each to Rs 423 and Rs 2,379, respectively.
Meanwhile, Sterlite has added 1.2% to Rs 770. Hero Honda and IRC are up 1% each at Rs 1,712 and Rs 236, respectively.
