The NSE Nifty is up nine points at 3,956.
ICICI Bank has zoomed 8% to Rs 595, and HDFC Bank soared 7.5% to Rs 1,030. HDFC has surged 6.7% to Rs 2,016.
DLF, Reliance Infrastructure and Cipla have rallied over 2.5% each to Rs 439, Rs 828 and Rs 217, respectively.

Grasim and Hindalco are down over 1% each at Rs 1,701 and Rs 138, respectively.
