Markets Take A South Turn

The markets ended the last trading day of the week in the negative after touching an intra-day high of 3,714.85.

The BSE Sensitive Index (Sensex) closed with a marginal loss of 1.34 points at 3,678.29. The NSE S&P CNX Nifty Index was down 0.60 points to end at 1,161.75.

The market closed lower as stocks lost ground after early gains. While select old economy pivotals advanced on fresh buying, tech pivotals lost ground as profit booking was seen after Thursday
