Markets trading firm

The markets are trading firm, Sensex is at 20,330 up 260 points and Nifty is up 75 points at 6105.

The broader markets continue to trade in line with the benchmark indices, the Mid-cap index is up 1.57% or 126 points at 8211 and Small-cap index is at 10,408 up 163 points or 1.6%. The BSE 500 market breadth is extremely positive as 453 stocks are advancing and 46 stocks are declining

Shree Global tradefin continues to lead the Mid-cap charts, the stock  is up 10% at Rs 228 followed by Phoenix Mills, IFCI, Maharashtra Seamless, Wockhardt and Escorts up more than 5.5% each.

 

Among the Small-caps Parenteral Drugs leads the rally up 6% at Rs 290 followed by Sujana Towers, Splash Media, Suven Lifescinces and Nitesh Estates up more than 8% each.

All the key sectoral indices are trading in the green. Realty index continues to touch new intra day highs up 3.22% at 3846 followed by Auto, Metal, Consumer Durables and Healthcare indices up more than 2% each. FMCG index is at the bottom of the sectoral indices up 0.56% at 3740.

Phoenix mills is the top gainer among the realty stocks up 6% at Rs 240 followed by Unitech, Anant raj Industries, Peninsula Land and HDIL up more than 3% each.

Tata Motors is the top gainer among the Sensex stocks, the stock up 4.5% at Rs 1147 followed by DLF, BHEL, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindalco Industries and Jindal Steel.

Meanwhile, profit booking is seen in Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank and Hero Honda.

The market breadth continues to be positive as 2118 stocks are advancing and 758 stocks are declining.
