Barring a rise in masoor on retailers demand, other commodities generally held steady on the wholesale grains market today in the absence of worthwhile activity.

Traders said a rise in demand from retailers mainly helped masoor prices to trade at a higher level.

In the national capital, masoor small and bold prices rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,200-3,400 and Rs 3,350-3,600, respectively, while dal masoor local and best quality traded higher by the same margin to Rs 3,750-3,850 and Rs 4,050-4,350 per quintal, respectively.
