MCX launches futures trading in four agri products

The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX)today launched futures trading in four agricultural commodities for delivery in August and September.

While rubber and crude palm oil contracts will expire in August, contracts for coriander and cardamom will close in September, the exchange circular said.

At 1230 hours, the September contract of cardamom was active and prices were up 0.70 per cent at Rs 1,400 per kg.

However, futures trading in the other three commodities did not see much participation, the exchange data showed.
