Medium sugar prices moved up at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to fresh buying from retailers coupled with festive demand.
Meanwhile, small sugar variety edged lower on reduced offtake.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) firmed up by Rs 5/15 per quintal to Rs 2,680/2,771 from last Friday's closing level of Rs 2,665/2,766.
Small sugar quality (S-30) however, eased by Rs five per quintal to Rs 2,625/2,680, as against Rs 2,630/2,680 previously.

Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,625/2,680 (Rs 2,630/ 2,680) and Medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,680/2,771 (Rs 2,665/2,766)
