Medium sugar slips on ample supply

Medium sugar prices moved down slightly at the Vashi Wholesale market here today due to fall in demand from retailers amidst ample supply positions.

Meanwhile, small sugar variety closed stable in the absence of necessary buying support.  

Medium sugar quality (M-30) edged down by Rs 6 per quintal to Rs 2,886/2,951 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 2,892/2,951.

However, small sugar quality (S-30) closed unaltered at Rs 2,851/2,891 per quintal.

Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,851/2,891 (Rs 2,851/ 2,891) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,886/2,951 (Rs 2,886/2,951)
