Mentha futures fall on profit bookings

Mentha oil futures prices fell by Rs 15.30 to Rs 1,173.30 per kg today, as speculators booked profits at existing higher levels, amid fall in demand in spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, mentha for delivery in November fell by Rs 15.30, or 1.29 per cent to Rs 1,173.30 per kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in December lost Rs 13.10, or 1.09 per cent to Rs 1,186.10 per kg, with a trade volume of just one lot.   

Market analysts said profit bookings by speculators at prevailing higher levels, fall in demand in the spot market pulled down mentha oil futures prices.
