Mentha oil declines 0.17% on weak demand

This is due to weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market against higher supplies from producing regions

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices fell by 0.17% to Rs 863.60 per kg in futures market today due to weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market against higher supplies from producing regions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange market, December delivery declined by Rs 1.50, or 0.17% to Rs 863.60 per kg in business turnover of 65 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in January traded lower by 70 paise, or 0.08% to Rs 876.50 per kg in 11 lots.

Analysts said besides weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market, higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
