Mentha oil declines over 2% on profit-booking

Trading sentiments weakened further due to adequate stocks position

Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 23.70 to Rs 920 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in profit-booking amid subdued spot demand.

Trading sentiments weakened further due to adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, analysts said.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract fell by Rs 23.70, or 2.51%, to Rs 920 per kg in 182 lots.

The June contract fell by Rs 13, or 1.37%, to Rs 929.60 per kg in 434 lots.
