Mentha oil down 0.1% on subdued demand

Subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position kept pressure on mentha oil

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices fell further by 0.15% to Rs 843 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in reducing positions amid subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October fell by another Rs 1.30, or 0.15%, to Rs 843 per kg in business turnover of 116 lots.

Similarly, oil for delivery in November traded lower by the same margin to Rs 855.50 per kg in 93 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators due to subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on mentha oil prices in futures trade.
