Mentha oil down 0.2% as demand decline

Oil for delivery in July contract shed 0.07%

Continued its losing streak for the third-day, mentha oil prices fell by another 0.22% to Rs 825 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in June fell further by Rs 1.80, or 0.22%, to Rs 825 per kg in business turnover of 387 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in July contract shed 60 paise, or 0.07% to Rs 837 per kg in 88 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by speculators, driven by decline in demand from consuming industries in the spot market mainly attributed fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
