Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 4.10 to Rs 857.50 per kg in futures trade today after participants reduced positions amid supply pressure in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October fell by Rs 4.10, or 0.47%, to Rs 857.50 per kg, with a business turnover of Rs 221 lots.
Similarly, oil for delivery in November declined by Rs 4.10, or 0.46%, to Rs 870 per kg in 55 lots.
Traders said the fall in mentha prices at futures market was mostly due to offloading of positions amid increased arrivals from producing regions of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
