Mentha oil down 0.9% on higher supply, low demand

Oil for delivery in March moved down by 0.84%

Mentha oil prices extended losses for the third-straight day by losing 0.95% to Rs 886.80 per kg in futures trade today on higher supplies from producing regions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April fell by Rs 8.50, or 0.95%, to Rs 886.80 per kg in a business turnover of 484 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in March moved down by Rs 7.40, or 0.84%, to Rs 875.50 per kg in 208 lots.

Analysts said higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh against low demand from consuming industries in the spot market mainly led to an downtrend in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
