Amid profit-booking by speculators and weak spot demand, mentha oil prices moved down by Rs 10.60 to Rs 853 per kg in futures market today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September month fell by Rs 10.60, or 1.11% to Rs 853 per kg in business turnover of 83 lots.
Similarly, oil for delivery in October declined by Rs 8.80, or 1.00% to Rs 867.80 per kg in 234 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators, amid a weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market against adequate stocks position, mainly led to decline in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
