Mentha oil down 1.7% on weak demand

Prices dropped as investors reduced fresh long position

Mentha oil futures for March fell by Rs 22.50, or 1.71%, to Rs 1,292.50 per kg in 254 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the February contract traded Rs 11.90, or 0.82% lower, at Rs 1,431 per kg in 892 lots.

Prices dropped as investors reduced their fresh long position on weak spot demand.

Trading sentiment weakened further on higher arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
