Amid profit-booking by speculators and subdued spot demand, mentha oil prices fell further by 2.03% to Rs 2,301.20 per kg today in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the March mentha oil fell by Rs 47.80, or 2.03%, to Rs 2,301.20 per kg, with a business volume of 716 lots.

The April delivery traded lower by Rs 23.60, or 0.98%, at Rs 2,365.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 241 lots.

Traders said the fall in mentha futures prices was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators at higher levels and subdued demand at spot markets.
