Mentha oil falls 0.7% on profit-booking

Higher arrivals from Chandausi weighed on mentha prices

Press Trust of India Mumbai
Mentha oil futures for February fell by Rs 8.90, or 0.68%, to Rs 1,306 per kg in 554 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the March contract declined by Rs 8.50, or 0.67%, to Rs 1,248.90 per kg in 172 lots.

Profit-booking by speculators after recent gains and a weak industrial demand in the spot market affected the trade.

Besides, weak demand from pharmaceutical industries, amid higher arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, also weighed on mentha futures trade.
