Mentha oil futures decline 0.41% on subdued demand

Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 3.10 or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 754 per kg in futures trade today, tracking weak trend at the spot markets on subdued demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, mentha for September month fell by Rs 3.10 or 0.41 per cent to Rs 754 per kg, with an open interest of 5,377 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in August month shed Rs 1.30 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 743.70 per kg in 3,928 lots.

Market analysts said weak trend at the physical markets due to subdued demand against adequate stocks positions, pulled down mentha oil prices at futures trade.
