Mentha oil futures prices fell by Rs 7.30 to Rs 1,334.50 per kg today, as traders booked profits at existing higher levels amid subdued spot demand.
Adequate stocks following increased arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced the mentha oil prices at futures market here.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in January fell by Rs 7.30, or 0.54%, to Rs 1,334.50 per kg, with a business turnover of 74 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in November shed Rs 6.10, or 0.46%, to Rs 1,320.20 per kg, with a trade volume of 178 lots.
Marketmen said besides profit-bookings by traders at prevailing higher levels, sluggish demand in the spot market also put pressure on mentha oil futures prices.
