Mentha oil futures shot up by Rs 15.70 to Rs 1,430.80 per kg today on the back of rising demand from pharmaceutical units in the spot market against less arrivals from producing region.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, January mentha oil shot up by Rs 15.70, or 1.11%, to Rs 1,430.80 per kg in business turnover of 1,187 lots.
The February contract jumped up by Rs 15.60, or 1.11% to Rs 1,421.90 per kg in 135 lots.
