Buoyed by a firming trend in the spot market, mentha oil prices gained Rs 22 to Rs 1,121 per kg in futures trade today.
Lower arrivals from producing regions also influenced mentha oil prices in futures trade here.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for July delivery gained Rs 22, or 2%, to Rs 1,121 per kg with a business turnover of 942 lots.
Likewise, the oil for August contract delivery moved up by Rs 18.90, or 1.71%, to Rs 1,121.40 per kg in 323 lots.
Market analysts said besides the firming trend in the spot market on good demand, tight supplies from producing regions due to adverse weather conditions also contributed to the rise in mentha oil futures prices.
