Mentha oil futures prices remained under pressure for the second straight day today by falling another Rs 10.90 to Rs 122.50 per kg in today on weak domestic as well as exports demand.

Reduced offtake by pharmaceutical units also influenced the mentha futures prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, mentha oil for October delivery fell by Rs 10.90, or 0.96 per cent, to Rs 122.50 per kg, with a business volume of just one lot.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in November declined by Rs 8.70, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 1146.50 per kg, with a business turnover of two lots.

The fall in mentha oil futures prices was mostly due to weak domestic and exports demand, traders said.
