Mentha oil gain 0.6% on increased industrial demand

Mentha oil for delivery in June traded higher by 0.62%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices rose 0.64% to Rs 1,012.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by increased industrial demand in the spot market.

Besides, tight stocks availability in the physical market following restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh further fuelled the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July gained Rs 6.40 or 0.64%, to Rs 1,012.60 per kg in business turnover of 696 lots.

Likewise, mentha oil for delivery in June traded higher by Rs 6.10, or 0.62%, to Rs 996.80 per kg in 159 lots.

Market analysts said besides increased industrial demand in the spot market, less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly led to rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
