Mentha oil prices moved down by Rs 5.90 to Rs 1,321.70 per kg in futures trade today on increased supplies in the spot market against lower demand.

Increased arrivals from Uttar Pradesh in the physical market put pressure on mentha oil in futures trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July fell by Rs 5.90, or 0.44%, to Rs 1,321.70 per kg, with a business turnover of 301 lots.

The August contract declined by Rs 5.60, or 0.41%, to Rs 1,345.70 per kg in 725 lots.

Market analysts said increased supplies from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh against lower demand in the spot market influenced mentha oil prices.
