Mentha oil prices recovered by Rs 8.20 to Rs 1,303.90 per kg in futures market today on pick up in spot market demand against restricted arrivals from producing regions.

At the MCX, mentha oil for delivery in June recovered by Rs 8.20, or 0.63%, to Rs 1,303.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 319 lots.

The July contract edged up by Rs 8.20, or 0.62%, to Rs 1,325 per kg, with a business turnover of 137 lots.

Marketmen said fresh buying by speculators on the back of pick-up in demand from pharmaceutical units against less arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly helped mentha oil prices to trade higher at futures trading.
