Mentha oil recovers 1.86% on fresh buying

Restricted arrivals also influenced prices

Mentha oil prices recovered by Rs 23.60 to Rs 1,288 per kg in futures trade today as traders created fresh positions, driven by pick up in demand at spot market.

Restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced the mentha oil prices at futures trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July delivery gained by Rs 23.60, or 1.86%, to Rs 1,288 per kg, with a trading volume of 1,352 lots.

The August contrct rose by Rs 23.70, or 1.84%, to Rs 1,307.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 420 lots.

Marketmen said fresh buying by traders following pick up in spot demand and lower arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly pushed up mentha oil prices at futures trade.
